I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry at Washington and Lee University in Virginia. I earned my medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Medical College of Virginia campus. I completed residency training in orthopaedic surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. I was privileged to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the University of Michigan. I also completed an observational mini-fellowship in throwing athlete and sports elbow from the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL. Then, I joined the sports medicine division in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Washington. Since joining Washington University, I have served as a team physician for the St. Louis Blues, St. Louis City SC, and Washington University athletics. I also served as the team physician for the USA Karate Team at the World Championships in Geneva, Switzerland in 2014. Also in 2014, I completed a Master’s in Clinical Investigation from Washington University School of Medicine. I have been selected as one the “Best Doctors in St. Louis” by St. Louis Magazine since 2011 and as one Americas “Best Doctors” since 2009. I have been an invited faculty at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Learning Center in Chicago, IL. In 2013, I was selected to represent the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine (AOSSM) for the Asia-Pacific traveling fellowship to Japan and China I am honored to contribute to collaborative research through the Multicenter Orthopaedic Outcomes Network (MOON) ACL study group, the MOON shoulder study group, the Multicenter ACL Revision Study (MARS), the Meniscal Tear With Osteoarthritis Research (MeTeOR) study and the CUTTER elbow study group. I am also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, NHL Physicians Society, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society, American Orthopedic Assocation, and the Magellan Society.
