Geoffrey S Baer, MD, PhD

Dr. Baer is Associate Professor Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is the Co-Division head of Sports Medicine and is the Head Team Orthopedic Surgeon for the University of Wisconsin Athletic Department. Dr. Baers clinical and research interest include knee ligament, meniscus and cartilage surgery as well as shoulder instability, rotator cuff repair and CC ligament injury. Dr. Baer also has an interest in youth sports injuries. He is an active member of the AAOS, AOSSM, AANA, the Magellan Society and is honored to be a member of the Herodicus Society. He is also a planning member of the Big Sky Sports Medicine Conference. In his free time he enjoys watching and coaching his kids (Michael, Grace, and Andrew) in sports and playing golf as well as enjoying relaxation and skiing in Big Sky, Montana.
